Our Mission

Like many other areas across the country we are fighting to save our greenbelt - a haven for wildlife, a place of tranquillity, natural beauty and a lifeline for local residents who depend on it for their wellbeing and connection to nature.

To pave over this land would be to erase not only a crucial environmental asset but also a place deeply cherished by the local community.

We have little time to digest and respond to this proposal and minds at Wigan Council may already be made up. The odds are stacked against us. To stand a chance against Peel Holdings and Wigan Council we need to approach this strategically.

This website is a place to do just that; collect ideas, gather support and move our fight forward in the right way.
